Myths from the Garden

Myths from the Garden is a compilation of stories told to me by my friends and family. They are the kinds of stories you might hear over the garden fence, where there's time enough to spin a good yarn. Click on any of the selections below for a good story.

Winsor Locks Journal. Submitted by my mother, who, during the 1950s and 1960s, clipped some articles from her hometown newspapers which sometimes ran reprints of news they published from more than 100 years ago. Funny stuff!

The Hartford Current recently ran this great anecdote written by my cousin Laura from Wallingford, Connecticut.

Here's an amazing story from a longtime family friend Dave Reeks who entertains us with his chat about his trip to Brazil. The photos are terrific.

Stayed tuned!

Soon to post ditties from my sister, Lois, who, in seconds, can turn a ho-hum day into an amazing painful but not serious adventure. Complete with her great illustrations!

Also coming soon, wonderful tales from my father-in-law, Hal, about his childhood experiences growing up in a small town in east Tennessee. You won't want to miss these!

Have a good story, poem, or insight of your own? Feel free to email a copy to me. Include the name of the author and/or the publication from which it was gleaned, and the date it was written, told, or published. Thanks.
